Fox Racing Shox Voluntary Fork Recall

Fox Shox recently released a voluntary recall on its 2013 Evolution series mountain bike suspension forks. The effected forks include 2013 32 and 34 Evolution series forks with 120mm - 160mm of travel. The forks were sold as original equipment on Specialized, Trek, Scott, Kona and Cannondale bike brands.

What does this mean for you?

If you purchased a new mountain bike in 2013 that was equipped with a Fox Evolution Series fork your bike may be effected and needs to be repaired.

How to tell if you have a 2013 Evolution Series fork.

  • You purchased a 2013 bike equipped with a Fox fork.
  • Evolution Series appears on the left and right leg decals.
  • Fork Colors: Black, White or Green
  • Float
  • Remote or non-remote
  • Travel: 120mm-160mm
  • Decal Colors: Black and White with Silver, Grey and custom colors.

If you think your fork may be effected or you're not sure please bring your bike in to the shop.  We would be happy to help you determine if your fork needs to be repaired. If your fork is part of the recall we will contact Fox and have them send us the necessary parts to repair the fork.
