Road Trippin' AZ

This past week Trek Bikes held a Fit Services Seminar in Phoenix, AZ. There is always more to learn about bicycle fitting so we jumped at the opportunity to send two of our employees to participate.

Here is a recap of their trip:
We were very excited to be chosen to go to Phoenix and participate in Trek’s fit seminar and because the weather was 70 degrees and sunny, we decided to bring along our mountain bikes.

While at the Fit Services seminar we learned some very valuable information. Since we all come in different shapes and sizes due to genetics and adaptation, Trek’s overall view on bike fitting is that a bike should be adjusted to fit the rider not the other way around. It was great having a refresher on the overall fit experience and learn some new techniques as well.

We rode the National Trail on Phoenix’s South Mountain. This is a great trail if you like rocky technical climbs and descents with great views and lots of saguaro cactus. This trail easily rates in the top three most technical trails we’ve ever ridden. If you are a strong rider and like a challenge, definitely check this trail out.

Recently there has been a lot of buzz in the shop about riding Sedona, AZ. With only one day to ride in Sedona we took the locals advice and rode the Hiline Trail. This trail was amazing. It featured dirt singletrack, slickrock, and beautiful views of Sedona’s red rock. We barely scratched the surface of what Sedona has to offer and are already making plans for a return trip.

Overall our road trip to Arizona was a success. We learned much more about bike fit, rode some amazing trail and felt the warm sun on our backs.
